Following the completion of the East London Prelims at The Deck
in Gonubie last weekend, the focus of this year’s Vodacom Live!
Music Awards now turns to Port Elizabeth with three Prelims
scheduled at The Lighthouses at The Boardwalk. Hopefuls begin
battling it out on stage on Friday for a share of the R40 000
cash prizes on offer in the Eastern Cape’s richest and most
prestigious Battle of the Bands contest.
Saturday sees another ten bands and solo artists in action, as
does Wednesday evening (23rd)

FINALS:
BEE, our winners for the past 2 years, have agreed to play
as guest artists at our finals to be held on the 10th May. BEE
have walked away with the Best Band title for the past 2 years
and also 3 years ago as Undignified.
Beer Fest & Finals will take place at the Old
Selbornian's on Saturday 10 May 2008. We will release
details of ticket outlets once tickets go on sale. Tickets will
also be available from the bands and artists that make it
through to the finals.

Confirmed judges for this year include:
Dave Thompson of Sony BMG and Idols SA Judge
Hagen Engler, editor of FHM and an accomplished musician in his
own right
